The IDF is the most moral army in the world

An absolutely must read interview

As a rule I restrict my website to my own columns and blogs and refrain from circulating other material.

However, I am making an exception and incorporating an extraordinarily important interview which appeared in this weekend’s Jerusalem Post.

For those of you who have not seen it, the lengthy (10,000 word) interview conducted by the editor, David Horovitz, with Professor Asa Kasher is absolutely compulsory reading for anyone seeking an understanding of the standard of morality under which the IDF operates.

Kasher, who teaches philosophy at Tel Aviv University, co-authored the first IDF Code of Ethics.

The interviewer, David Horovitz, assumes the role of the devil’s advocate and skillfully leads Kasher to respond to questions impinging on the blood libels and condemnations of alleged IDF behavior during the Gaza war upon which the Goldstone Report was based,...

Two US drones for Misratah vs Russian arms, Chinese intel for Qaddafi

DEBKAfile

Both of Libya’s fighting camps are taking delivery of a surging influx of weapons shipments and military personnel – each hoping to use the extra aid for breaking the military standoff in its own favor, debkafile’s military sources report. Thursday, April 21, President Barack Obama authorized a pair of armed Predator drones to help the rebels break breaking the siege of Misratah, while British, French and Italian military officers headed for rebel headquarters in Benghazi, part of a package of arms and military equipment from the US, Britain, France, Italy and Qatar.

On the other side of the Libyan divide, China, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Serbia are keeping the pro-Qaddafi camp’s arsenals stocked with new hardware along with combat personnel from Eastern Europe and the former Yugoslavia.

Building up in Libya is a confrontation that recalls the 1999 war in Yugoslavia (Serbia today) when NATO’s four-month Operation Noble Anvil hammered...

Obama Fundraising May Have Violated RICO

AFL-CIO Attorney: “It is legally impossible to conduct a nationwide raffle”
by Bill Levinson

We recently sent a complaint to the Federal Election Commission with regard to the “Dinner with Barack” fundraising promotions of 2007 and 2008. The Center for Competitive Politics quoted AFSCME (part of AFL-CIO) associate general counsel Jessica Robinson on the use of raffles to raise money for political campaigns.

Ms. Robinson says unequivocally that it is impossible to legally conduct a nationwide raffle and furthermore that doing so violates the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) statute. Racketeering includes systematic violations of any state’s gambling laws.. This means there is excellent cause to remove Barack Obama from office without an extensive foray into the Twilight Zone to find his birth certificate. If Obama for America broke the law by running an illegal Internet gambling operation, and Minnesota law enforcement is on...

Donald Trump’s Eminent Domain Abuse Disqualifies Him

Trump’s involvement in eminent domain abuse disqualifies him from public office
by Bill Levinson

Shoplifters who switch price tags to pay a lower price than the merchant wants, or to “buy” things that are not even for sale, get into trouble because they commit what the law defines as theft. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the Kelo decision, with which Donald Trump agrees, that it is however not theft for developers like Trump to similarly collude with municipal authorities to use eminent domain to force people to sell their property.

Trump’s Eminent-Domain Empire by Michelle Malkin demonstrates how The Donald takes legally sanctioned five-fingered discounts on other people’s property–and Malkin calls it exactly that, legalized theft.

Too many mega-developers like Trump have achieved success by using and abusing the government’s ability to commandeer private property for purported “public use.” Invoking the Fifth Amendment takings clause,...

Obama’s altruistic foreign policy is against US interests

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

And yet, despite the fact that the Obama administration has no clear notion of who is leading the fight against Gaddafi or what they stand for, this week the White House informed Congress that it will begin directly funding the al-Qaida-linked rebels, starting with $25 million in non-lethal material.

This aid, like the NATO no-fly zone preventing Gaddafi from using his air force, and the British military trainers now being deployed to Libya to teach the rebels to fight, will probably end up serving no greater end then prolonging the current stalemate. With the Obama administration unwilling to enforce the no-fly zone with US combat aircraft, unwilling to take action to depose Gaddafi and unwilling to cultivate responsible, pro-Western successors to Gaddafi, the angry tyrant will probably remain in power indefinitely.

In and of itself, the fact that the war has already reached a stalemate constitutes a complete failure of the administration’s...

Why I Disdain France and Europe in General

Laura: France is ready to grant recognition to a fakestinian terror state at the expense of Israel. Bibi seems to be in a panic to stave off a vote in the UN on fakestinian statehood come September. So his solution for stopping the UN from recognizing a fakestinian state is to come up with his own plan for statehood. What sense does this make? Besides the fact that they are undeserving of statehood from a historical and legal standpoint, it is a certainty that this will be another islamic sharia terror state. So why is the west in a rush to create “palestine”? In any case, Israel is a sovereign nation in which no international entities have the right to declare part of her nation as belonging to another people and steal it from her to give to her enemies. Bibi should not be concerned since the UN vote will be meaningless and instead he should assert Israel’s right to Judea and Samaria and the entirety of Jerusalem.

France: EU may recognize Palestinian statehood
