In its recent issue, the Taliban magazine Azan sought to compare U.S. President Barack Obama with Mikhail Gorbachev, the Soviet leader who presided over the break-up of the USSR in the late-1980s and early-1990s. It claims that 30 American states are campaigning for secession from the U.S. The article, titled "The American Gorbachev," is meant to draw parallels between the state of the USSR under the leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev on the eve of the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989 with that of the United States under the leadership of Barack Obama amid the upcoming U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014. It projects that after 2014 the Taliban will rule Afghanistan, leading to a domino effect in Uzbekistan and Pakistan. It also blames the supposed Jewish lobby in America for electing and re-electing Barack Obama to lead the United States into such an abyss. The following are excerpts from the article: "The Jewish Lobby Elected [Barack] Obama In 2008 And Reelected Him Again Only To Sail The American Boat Right To The Bottom" "The graveyard of the empires, Afghanistan, is bearing witness to the fall of another self- proclaimed 'Super Power', i.e. the USA (soon to become BSA: Broken States of America). Throughout the history of mankind, righteous groups have been granted success against the groups of falsehood by the help of Allah, even though the righteous groups were almost always fewer with respect to numbers and resources. The powerful army of Goliath was beaten by the army of Saul and the story of how David killed Goliath is famously known. Similarly, the Egyptian Pharoah [evil hegemon, as understood in South Asian usage] and his army were drowned and destroyed…. "Abu Jahl and his followers were killed and defeated at [the Battle of] Badr when they faced Prophet Muhammad and his companions in their false bravery and egoism. Similarly, the Crusaders were beaten by Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi [i.e. Saladin] in the Muslim march towards Jerusalem. In our contemporary times, Britain and Russia suffered heavy defeats in the mountains of Afghanistan despite having vastly superior resources. And now, the world is seeing as a handful of mujahideen under the leadership of Mullah Omar are defeating one of the most powerful super powers in the history of the world. "One thing common in all these encounters is that the defeated side has almost always been led by the worst amongst them. When the U.S. attacked Afghanistan [in October 2001], the people of intellect were wondering how long it would take for America to suffer its inevitable defeat and who would be leading its army when it would eventually drag its defeated tail out of Afghanistan. "The Jewish lobby elected Obama in 2008 and reelected him again only to sail the American boat right to the bottom. If we look back to 1979 [the year USSR troops entered Afghanistan] and study carefully the Soviet stay in Afghanistan and the problems they had, there seems to be an extraordinary resemblance to the U.S. adventure and imminent exit in Afghanistan. The irony is that despite the various think tanks that the USA funds and runs, which dictate to it the pros and cons of its policies, nobody was there to tell them at the time that they would get in like Soviets and get out like Gorbachevs. And now when the USA is exiting Afghanistan completely defeated with more than 30 of its states demanding separation, it seems time to give the deserving title to Obama, 'The American Gorbachev'!" "[As Per Official U.S. Data] 46.9 Million American People Were In Poverty In 2010, Up From 37.3 Million In 2007"; "This Was The Largest Number In The 52 Years"; So Much For Dreaming Of World Dominion With A Backyard Full Of Hungry People!" "Just as the Afghan war ruined the economy of the Russians, so too has it ruined the American economy as a result of America's own murderous aims. For example, the American national debt stands today at around 14 trillion dollars compared to the 2 trillion dollars it was before the Afghanistan invasion in 2001! Plus with the corrupt interest-based economic system, America is destined to remain under considerable debt for the foreseeable future. Compare this to the Russian position by the end of the 1980's when their external debt rose from 0 to 120 billion dollars, and the similarity is obvious. "Gorbachev's economic policies had seen the Soviet Union suffer a severe shortage of basic food supplies by the end of the 1980's that had led him to desperately introduce a war-time system of food distribution for his citizens. Similarly, according to the official poverty measures as published by the United States Census Bureau, 46.9 million American people were in poverty in 2010, up from 37.3 million in 2007 – the fourth consecutive annual increase in the number of people in poverty. This was the largest number in the 52 years for which poverty rates had been published! So much for dreaming of world dominion with a backyard full of hungry people! "Furthermore, Gorbachev experienced severe public discontent with nationalist movements erupting in vast areas of the Soviet Union calling for separation. He finally had to acquiesce to the demands amidst both internal and international pressure with the defeat in Afghanistan a direct cause of the consequent disintegration. Similarly, America is now seeing calls of separation from different areas of the country with various movements in around 30 states calling for separation. "A Fox news poll reported in May 2013 that the disapproval of Obama's overall performance now stands above 50% while his 'honesty rating' has hit a 'new low.' The poll also reported that more than two-thirds of voters – around 68% – feel that the government is out of control and is threatening 'civil liberties.' Sound familiar? Furthermore, America is losing the Afghan war just as its predecessor [the USSR]. The American withdrawal which has been depicted in the media as a 'victorious comeback' is nothing but the scene of a jackal returning home with its tail between its legs." "Everyone Can See The Difference Between The Pre-9/11 And Post-9/11 World"; "Following Bush Junior And Obamachev’s Policies, The Jihad Has… Spread All Around The World – With Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Mali, Chechnya, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Algeria And Indonesia Rising Up" "Everyone can see the difference between the pre-9/11 and post-9/11 world. Before 9/11 the jihad to establish Shariah was restricted to a few parts of the Muslim Ummah and the concept of a global Khilafah [caliphate] was not in the minds and aspirations of all Muslims. But following Bush Junior and Obamachev’s policies, the jihad has by the Grace of Allah spread all around the world – with Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Mali, Chechnya, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Algeria and Indonesia rising up to the glorious call. American policies have only provided more fuel to the fire they sought to extinguish and now, the whole world knows that it is only a matter of 'when' and not 'if' that the Khilafah eventually returns. "With the strength of Prophetic predictions behind their aspirations, the [global] Muslim nation undoubtedly knows that the American withdrawal from Afghanistan will pave the way for the establishment of the Taliban government in Afghanistan yet again. [Afghan President Hamid] Karzai's upheaval [i.e. exit] is only a matter of time and once the mujahideen secure Afghanistan, then Uzbekistan and Pakistan are soon to follow InshaAllah [Allah wiling]. "And once a proper Islamic state is established [in Afghanistan], then InshaAllah that will spell the end of the reign of the corrupt UNs and USAs of the world and Obama and his cronies will be thrown into ignominy just as their Gorbachev predecessors. "Obama's similarity to Gorbachev – besides all this – is also in that he is heading a nation of people who do not agree with the government policies (even though there is not much that they can do about it). Obama's election, his staunch popularity among the Jewish lobbyists and his blanket support to Israel shows some of the real intentions behind his foreign policies. But the average American must question himself as to why America has gone on and invaded other countries, killed their people and spread bases all over the world. What is the need for all this when the leadership does not claim to possess a religious or an ideological agenda? Just spewing out the words 'terrorists' and 'extremists' should not be good enough anymore." "Obama Claims To Have Achieved 'Peace' In Afghanistan; So We The Taliban Challenge Him To Come To His 'Conquered' Land And Take A Drive From Helmand To Nooristan" "Obama claims to have achieved 'peace' in Afghanistan. So we the Taliban challenge him to come to his 'conquered' land and take a drive from Helmand to Nooristan; or maybe even try and stay in Nooristan for a couple of days... Then, he will realize how 'peaceful' he feels in a land that his army failed to conquer in more than eleven years of war. "The American Jew Warren Weinstein, who was captured by the mujahideen, said in his message to Obama: 'Then I'd like to talk to President Obama... I want to ask him and beg him that please accept and respond to the demands of the mujahideen. My life is in your hands Mr. President. If you accept the demands, I live; if you don't accept the demands, then I die... I know that you have two daughters that you enjoy with... you're with them... you spend time with them... But I get the feeling that you're not paying any attention to me or caring about my problem or my needs...' "Obama dines everyday with his two daughters and family but this is how little he cares for his fellow countrymen. It is clear that all the nationalistic slogans and civil freedoms are a farce. Obama does not care for his citizens; otherwise he would have responded to the simple demands of the mujahideen. "The quick rise to stardom of Obama and his blunt outright policies of increasing the wars in various Muslim countries point to heavy background planning.
