Britain: “Rape Jihad” Against Children

“As one police officer said to me, ‘There isn’t a town, village or hamlet in which children are not being sexually exploited.’ We should start from the assumption that children are being sexually exploited right the way across the country.” — Sue Berelowitz, Deputy Children’s Commissioner for England
A court in London has sentenced seven members of a Muslim child grooming gang based in Oxford to at least 95 years in prison for raping, torturing and trafficking British girls as young as 11. (Read more…)

How the Syrian Civil War and Egyptian Coup Positively Transform Israel’s Strategic Situation

There are some subtle issues coming out of the Syrian civil war for Israel. It is clear that Israel is neutral on the war, that it isn’t going to get dragged into it, and that the longer the war goes on it doesn’t damage Israeli national security.
It should be equally clear, however, that in the end Israel wants the rebels to win. Syria’s regime is supported by Hizballah, Iran, and the Assad government. These are the greater of the two evils. The coup against Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood regime greatly reduced the threat of Sunni Islamism.compared to that of Iran.

DJINN

By Prof Steven Plaut
1.  You know things are REALLY going well when Haaretz and the radical Left in Israel are hysterical.  And hysterical they are this week.  It seems there is a new Knesset initiative to regulate and restrict the funding from foreign sources of the legions of picayune anti-Israel leftist NGOs and “organizations” in Israel.  Basically these groups all have the same Israeli members, who migrate from group to Potemkin  group to make it look like there are oodles of such organizations.  These “organizations” could not exist at all were it not for the funding they get from hostile foreign organizations and governments.   It is a bit like pro-Nazi organizations being allowed to operate in the UK and the US in 1942 where they are funded by the Third Reich and by “organizations” operating in Germany. (Read more…)

Michael Oren: ‘Obama is a true friend, Israelis misunderstood his outreach to Arab world’

Michael Oren’s four and a half years as Israel’s ambassador in Washington have not been easy. Every few months, the American president and Israeli prime minister would set off some widely publicized fire that the ambassador would try to extinguish. Every few months religious-nationalist Israel would come up with some embarrassing event that the ambassador would have to smooth over.
Oren, who grew up in New Jersey and made aliyah to Gan Shmuel, had to continually defend an Israel that progressive America had ceased to understand. The man who studied at Columbia and Princeton had to explain Israel on campuses where the Jewish state’s very legitimacy was being called into question.
Bibi’s man in America reached out to those Americas [Hispanic, black, gay] that Bibi didn’t know, while simultaneously representing Bibi in a hostile White House and before a hostile media. (Read more…)

Qatar’ losing Mideast ground to Saudi diplomacy’

By Taieb Mahjoub (AFP)
DUBAI — Qatar, a key supporter of Islamists who rose to power in Arab Spring countries, is losing ground in regional politics to Saudi Arabia which appears to have seized the reins on key issues, notably Egypt and Syria.
The decline in Qatar’s regional diplomacy comes as its powerful emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani unexpectedly abdicated in favour of his son Tamim last month.
The wealthy Gulf state had transformed itself into a key regional player but began to retreat as heavyweight Saudi Arabia re-entered the political arena after lagging behind in the immediate period following the eruption of the Arab Spring uprisings in December 2010.

The Bedouin problem

This article is written by two notorious anti-Zionists and was published by Al Jazeera. The authors explain a lot but leave out the most crucial part. The Bedouin have placed their structures on land they don’t own. The Jews aren’t allowed to do that either.  It is the prerogative of the state to decide where communities are to be built and according to what building standards. The Arabs ignore this prerogative and illegally squat where they like on land they don’t own.  In so doing they occupy many times more land per person then properly planned communities do. The Bedouin are the fastest growing population in the world.
The authors consider the Bedouin to be indigenous . Not so, Are the Negev Bedouin an Indigenous People?

On June 24th the “Prawer Plan for the Arrangement of Bedouin-Palestinian Settlement in the Negev” passed its first reading in the Israeli parliament. If implemented, the Plan will constitute “the largest single act of forced displacement of Arab citizens of Israel since the 1950s”, expelling an estimated forty thousand Palestinian Bedouin from their current dwellings.

Ariel, Katz oppose Palestinian state in West Bank

Now is the time to step up the fight against a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Construction and Housing Minister Uri Ariel (Bayit Yehudi) said on Wednesday night at a meeting of the settler leadership in Jerusalem.
Transportation Minister Israel Katz (Likud) said he believed Palestinians should be autonomous in the West Bank and should affiliate with Jordan.
“I am opposed to a Palestinian state,” Katz said at the start of an executive meeting of the Council of Jewish Communities of Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip.
“It is unacceptable, mainly because of our rights to this land,’ Katz said. “In my eyes, the right diplomatic solution is an autonomous Palestinian entity, but with Jordanian civilian and political affiliation.”
