TTP Emir Mandates Widespread Attacks For Pakistan's Election Day On May 11

Hakimullah Mehsud, the Emir of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has issued a letter to Taliban commanders mandating them to carry out widespread attacks across the country on May 11, the day of voting to choose Pakistan's next government.

EXCLUSIVE: Former Egyptian Islamic Jihad Leader Sayyed Imam: Al-Zawahiri Did Not Know About 9/11 In Advance

Following are excerpts from an interview with Sayyed Imam, a former Egyptian Islamic Jihad leader, which aired on CBC TV on April 12, 2013:

Sayyed Imam: "Ayman Al-Zawahiri's relations with Al-Qaeda began very late. He only joined Al-Qaeda in June 2001, three months before 9/11.When, in 1998, Osama Bin Laden founded the "World Islamic Front for Jihad against the Jews and the Crusaders," [Al-Zawahiri] joined it, although the rest of the Jihad members opposed this. So they split away from him, and he joined the front with only a few men. But he officially joined Al-Qaeda only three months before 9/11. He was not involved in all that. [...]
"Al-Zawahiri and Bin Laden did not trust one another, and [Bin Laden] did not tell him about 9/11 in advance."

AQIM Calls For Muslims' 'Total Mobilization' To Join Jihad In Mali, Urges Muslims To Target French Interests As Part Of Open War

On May 6, 2013, Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) released an audio recording by Sheikh Abu 'Ubayda Yousef Al-'Annabi titled "The War on Mali." In the message, Al-'Annabi questions France's motives for its military intervention in northern Mali (Azawad), and calls for a "total mobilization" of all capable Muslims to join the jihad there. Al-'Annabi further urges Muslims to target any French interests in order to drag France into a lengthy open war.
The message, 19:32 in duration, was released over top jihadi forums. Following is a summary:

Al-'Annabi calls the Crusader French military intervention in Mali part of the unbelievers' eternal animosity towards Islam and Muslims that was revealed in the Koran.
Questioning the contradictory and continuously changing reasons France gives for its military intervention in northern Mali, he says that these contradictions and shifts have led the French public and others to wonder about France's real motives for the intervention.

On New Video, Al-Qaeda's Top Pakistani Commanders Urge People To Choose Between Democracy And Sharia, Democracy Dubbed As 'Slavery Of Jewish Monetary Systems'

On the eve of the May 11 general elections in Pakistan, Al-Qaeda has released a video questioning the system of democracy in Pakistan and criticizing the global economic system as Jewish-created and responsible for all the miseries of the Pakistani people. Statements of top Al-Qaeda commanders Farman Shinwari and Ustad Ahmad Farooq are also included in the video.
The video, "Shariat ya Jamhuriat (Sharia or Democracy)" has been released by Al- Qaeda's media arm Al-Sahab. The video is in Urdu language and runs for 24:22 minutes. It is the fourth in a series of videos titled "Shariat ya Jamhuriat" and is focused on the economic condition of Pakistan.
A commentator tells Pakistanis that democracy has done no good, except for making them the "slave of the Jewish monetary system." He describes the global economic system as usury "developed by the West, especially the Jews, and it has ruined the Pakistani economy." Throughout the video a message is carried describing democracy as "the slavery of Jewish monetary institutions."

New Taliban Magazine 'Azan' Appeals For Help From Islamic Hackers To Defeat Drone Technology, Says Iraqi Mujahideen Working On Hacking Drones

Battered by U.S. drones in recent years, Taliban fighters in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region have appealed for Islamic hackers to help defeat the drone technology.
"Any opinions, thoughts, ideas and practical implementations to defeat this drone technology must be communicated to us as early as possible because these would aid the Ummah [global Islamic nation] greatly in its war against the Crusader-Zionist enemy," the Taliban said in an article published in their newly launched magazine Azan. The first issue of Azan, dated March 2013, was released by the Jamia Hafsa Urdu Forum, a Pakistani jihadi internet forum.
Jaffer Hussain, author of the article "The Drone Chain," wrote: "These drones can be hacked and manipulated, as evidenced by the efforts of the Iraq mujahideen. Furthermore, they can be destroyed using various technologies that the mujahideen are working on.

Al-Qaeda's Main Media Center Urges Jihadi Forums To Sever Ties With Members Openly Criticizing Mujahideen, ISI

On May 3, 2013, Al-Fajr, Al-Qaeda's leading media company, which distributes videos and communiqués from the group and its franchises, issued a statement warning against senior members of jihadi forums who have harshly criticized the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI), whom they accuse of being infiltrated by enemy agents.
Though it did not mention any names, the statement seems to be a response to recent critiques of the ISI, most of which have been posted on Twitter by 'Abdallah bin Mohammad and Assad Al-Jihad2, who are prominent writers in jihadi forums.

To mark the second anniversary of the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has released a video address by its spokesman to the Pakistani nation.
In the video, TTP spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan warns that the Taliban are following the agenda of the slain Al-Qaeda leader.
Ihsan speaks in Urdu language in the seven-minute video, which was released through Al-Fida', an Al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadi internet forum. "Today, the 2nd of May, is the darkest day in the history of Pakistan, when the international terrorist, the United States, with the support of the Pakistani government and army, martyred the great hero of the Muslim world, Sheikh Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad," he says.

Following Removal Of Facebook Page Documenting Foreigners Fighting In Syria, Activists Open New Page, Post Materials Also On Flickr And YouTube

On May 3, 2013, a member on the jihadi forum Al-Fida whose user name is "Ghuraba Al-Sham" ("Foreigners in Syria") reported that the Facebook page called "The Foreigners in the Syrian Revolution," which documented foreign nationals fighting in Syria (especially ones who have been "martyred"), has been removed by the Facebook administration for violating the social network's terms of use. The message added that a new Facebook page has been opened for the same purpose, and that the pictures and videos of the foreigners killed in Syria that had been posted on the previous page can now be viewed on a special Flickr page and YouTube channel.

Shumoukh Forum Member Eulogizes Two Egyptian Mujahideen Killed In Mali

A member on the jihadi forum Shumoukh Al-Islam nicknamed Mu'askar Khaldan (after Al-Qaeda's Khaldan training camp in Afghanistan) posted two messages on the forum yesterday (May 4, 2013), each of them eulogizing an Egyptian mujahid who has been killed on the jihad front in Mali.
